Common use of Mechanical Tool Allowance Clause in Contracts

Mechanical Tool Allowance. The City will provide a tool allowance of $400/fiscal year for Vehicle Equipment Mechanics, the Equipment Service Attendant, the Shop and Equipment Supervisor, and the Parks Mechanic for tools purchased for use in the course of City work. This tool allowance will be issued during the month of July. Employees who receive the tool allowance are not eligible to receive reimbursement for lost or broken tools.
