Tool Allowances. Where specific tools and equipment are required in order to perform the work, the Employer shall supply such tools and equipment and shall replace them on a one for one basis at no cost to the employee.

Tool Allowances. (a) Other than employees classified as Mechanics, Helpers or Apprentices, employees will not be required to supply work tools or equipment. (b) In the case of Mechanics, Helpers, or Apprentices, the Employer shall pay a tool allowance of twenty-five cents (25¢) per hour for each hour worked. (c) The Employer will replace the employee's hand tools, pneumatic tools, power tools and tool boxes required for the job, which may be lost or broken while used on the job, upon reasonable proof of such loss or breakage, and proof that there has been no negligence on the part of the employee. Replacement will be of equal quality. In order for the employee to qualify for replacement of tools, the employee must provide in advance to the Employer a written inventory of his/her tools approved by the appropriate Employer designate detailing the number, type, make, and serial number (if applicable) of each tool.
Tool Allowances. The employer agrees to replace worn out and broken tools owned by Maintenance and Mechanic employees when such tools are used to perform normal work assignments. Replacement of such tools requires the prior written approval of the appropriate Administrator. The employer will provide, with mutual consent of the parties, any specialty tool needed in the Maintenance and Mechanic Departments.
Tool Allowances. All maintenance technicians as defined in Appendix B who are required to provide their own tools may receive an allotment of up to $50.00 to purchase general-purpose tools to accomplish their job related tasks. Payment of the annual allotment shall be on a reimbursement basis only. The employee must present valid receipts justifying the expenditure and in accordance with the applicable expense reimbursement procedures of the College. The employee shall not be entitled to reimbursement for any expense that cannot be justified according to College expense reimbursement procedures nor does any unused balance of the annual allotment carry over from year to year. The amount of the annual allotment shall be pro-rated (based on weeks) on hiring or termination.
