Medical and Hospital Care. The carrier will provide payment for the actual expense of medical and hospital care commencing within 120 days after an accident covered under paragraph (a) of injuries incurred as a result of such accident, subject to limitation of $3,000 for any employee for any one accident, less any amounts payable under Group Policy Contract GA-23000 of The Travelers Insurance Company or under any other medical or insurance policy or plan paid for in its entirety by the carrier.

General anesthesia and hospitalization services are covered when required to assure the safe delivery of necessary dental treatment or surgery for a dental Condition which, if left untreated, is likely to result in a medical Condition if: i. a Member has one or more medical Conditions that would create significant or undue medical risk for the Member in the course of delivery of any necessary dental treatment or surgery if not rendered in a Hospital or Ambulatory Surgery Center; or ii. a Covered Dependent child is under eight years of age and it is determined by a licensed dentist and the Covered Dependent’s Attending Physician that dental treatment or surgery in a Hospital or Ambulatory Surgery Center is necessary due to a significantly complex dental Condition, or a developmental disability in which patient management in the dental office has proven to be ineffective.

  • Hospital Services The Hospital will: 6.1.1 achieve the Performance Standards described in the Schedules and the HSAA Indicator Technical Specifications; 6.1.2 not reduce, stop, start, expand, cease to provide or transfer the provision of Hospital Services to another hospital or to another site of the Hospital if such action would result in the Hospital being unable to achieve the Performance Standards described in the Schedules and the HSAA Indicator Technical Specifications; and 6.1.3 not restrict or refuse the provision of Hospital Services that are funded by the Funder to an individual, directly or indirectly, based on the geographic area in which the person resides in Ontario, and will establish a policy prohibiting any health care professional providing services at the Hospital, including physicians, from doing the same.

  • Hospital Any institution which is legally licensed as a medical or surgical facility in the country in which it is located, which is a) primarily engaged in providing diagnostic and therapeutic facilities for clinical and surgical diagnosis, treatment and care of injured and sick persons by or under the supervision of a staff of physicians; and b) not a place of rest, a place for the aged or nursing or convalescent home or institution or a long term care facility.

  • Health Care Operations “Health Care Operations” shall have the same meaning as the term “health care operations” in 45 CFR §164.501.
