Dental Care definition

Dental Care means: a. dental x-rays, examinations and treatment of the teeth or any services, supplies or charges directly related to: i. the care, filling, removal or replacement of teeth; or ii. the treatment of injuries to, or disease of, the teeth, gums or structures directly supporting or attached to the teeth, that are customarily provided by dentists (including orthodontics, reconstructive jaw surgery, casts, splints and services for dental malocclusion). b. Dental Care is covered only for children through the end of the Calendar Year in which they turn 19, except as described in Part IX COVERED MEDICAL SERVICES. Dental Care means care by licensed dentists or by appropriate auxiliary dental personnel working under the supervision of a dentist. It includes the necessary diagnostic, treatment, and preventive ser- vices required to maintain proper oral health.

More Definitions of Dental Care

Dental Care means the treatment or repair of the teeth, bones and tissues of the mouth and defects of the human jaws and associated structures and shall include surgical procedures involving the mandible and maxilla where such is done for the purpose of correcting malocclusion of the teeth or for the purpose, at least in part, of preparing such bony structure for dentures or the attachment of teeth, artificial or natural. Generally, hospital services and administration of anesthetic in connection with Dental Care are not covered except in limited circumstances, as provided in Subsection 3.3.3.
Dental Care means such intra-oral diagnostic ----------- and therapeutic procedures, operations, and services as are included under the definition of the "practice of dentistry" under the laws and regulations of the state in which such procedures, operations, and services are performed and which are provided by Provider to its patients through Provider's dentists and other professional dental care personnel operating under the supervision of Provider's dentists, including but not limited to the practice of general dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dental care, and oral surgery, and all dental care associated with any of the foregoing.
Dental Care means any care provided by a licensed dentist given to teeth, the supporting natural and artificial structures for teeth, and any replacement or restoration of teeth.
Dental Care means health care limited to the care, resto- ration or replacement of teeth.

Dental Care means X-ray examination, anesthetic, dental or surgical diagnosis or treatment, and hospital care by the dentist licensed under the Dental Practice Act.
Dental Care means the diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation of services directed at the prevention and treatment of disease, conditions, and dysfunctions relating to the oral cavity and its associated structures and their impact on the human body or the implementation of professional dental care provided to dental patients by a legally qualified dentist or Physician operating within the scope of the dentist’s or Physician’s training and licensure.
