Medical hardship. A medical hardship for purposes of receiving 28 donated PTO is defined as a medical condition of an employee or a family 29 member. The hardship must require the prolonged absence of the employee 30 from work and result in a substantial loss of income because the employee has 31 exhausted all accrued time-off benefits. Employees wishing to donate PTO to 1 another employee shall complete a request to donate paid time off form. 2 Employees wishing to receive PTO donations shall complete the request to 3 receive donated paid time off form. These forms are located in the Medical 4 Center’s paid time off policy.
