Medical Insurance – Claims Experience/Un-blending of Rates. Effective upon the “un-blending” of medical insurance coverage for active employees and retirees, which took effect on June 1, 2016, the City and Association agree that all subsequent medical insurance premium rate renewals will be established according to the claims experience of only active City employees. Accordingly, prospective retirees’ medical insurance premium rates will be “un-blended” from the active City employees’ rates and determined according to the claims experience of only City retirees.
