Common use of Medical Transfers and Reassignments Clause in Contracts

Medical Transfers and Reassignments. The District shall give consideration to providing alternate work, if available, to an employee who has become medically unable to satisfactorily perform his/her regular job class duties. The alternate work may constitute a transfer to a reassignment to work in the same or a lower class. Whether an employee is able to transfer or be reassigned to work within his/her capabilities shall be determined by the District. The District shall give consideration to any recommendation submitted by a medical doctor in reaching this decision.
