Common use of Member Attrition Clause in Contracts

Member Attrition. The number of affected bargaining unit members will be kept to a minimum by not employing replacements insofar as practicable for members who resign, retire, or whose limited contracts are not renewed for purposes other than reduction in force. A member who is hired to temporarily replace a member who is on an approved leave of absence and who is reduced upon the member’s return to work will not have any recall or bumping rights under this section or under Ohio Revised Code Section 3319.17.
