Mentor Training Sample Clauses

The Mentor Training clause establishes the requirement for mentors to undergo specific training before engaging in their mentoring duties. This clause typically outlines the type of training required, such as orientation sessions, skill development workshops, or compliance modules, and may specify when and how often the training must be completed. By mandating such preparation, the clause ensures that mentors are adequately equipped to support mentees effectively and consistently, thereby promoting a high standard of guidance and reducing the risk of misunderstandings or inadequate mentorship.
Mentor Training. Selected Mentor Teachers will be required to participate in staff development programs on mentoring provided by the District or its designee and to perform other duties outlined by the District and required by the Tenure Law. All of these activities and duties will be for the express purpose of helping beginning teachers become more effective instructors.
Mentor Training. Mentors shall be provided with the following: 1. An orientation to mentor responsibilities as provided by the State of Ohio by the Lead Mentor; 2. Training in knowledge and skills necessary to perform Mentor responsibilities, i.e., RE, IM and Facilitator Training or “other research-based” mentor training programs. 3. Opportunities to consult with and otherwise assist the assigned RE. 4. With Superintendent or designee approval, substitute teachers may be provided on an as-needed basis for Mentors to perform duties such as classroom observations of RE teachers.
Mentor Training. Many school-based staff have significant experience of working as a Subject Mentor and/or PCM. The current partnership has a wealth of expertise in providing effective training for such staff. Mentor training is available throughout the academic year, and can be accessed live on line or in recorded sessions. All information is on the Mentor Zone of the portal. PCMs will ensure that there is access to school-based training activities for trainees, support and training for Mentors, and will provide guidance in the assessment of trainees. Mentor Training. 1. All mentors will receive training prior to working with the Resident Educator and throughout the school year as necessary. All mentors shall be provided with State required mentor training. Mentors will be provided with an orientation to mentoring responsibilities and training in knowledge and skills necessary to perform mentoring responsibilities. 2. Training will be given to all mentor teachers in the following areas: a. Peer coaching and/or clinical supervision including effective conferencing. b. Roles and responsibilities of the Resident Educator participants: (i) Mentor Teacher (ii) Resident Educator Teacher (iii) Building Principal f. Effective teaching with an emphasis on instructional and classroom skills.

Mentor Training. Employees can receive training as a mentor under the New Hire Mentor Program described in Article XVI. Employees successfully completing the adjunct mentor training will be compensated at a rate of $35.00 per hour, up to a maximum of $140.00. This amount is in addition to the amount referenced in Section B.1 above.

  • Job Training ‌ The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes: (1) for planning training programs for those employees affected by technological change; (2) for planning training programs to enable employees to qualify for new positions being planned through future expansion or renovation; (3) for planning training programs for those employees affected by new methods of operation; (4) for planning training programs in the area of general skill upgrading. Whenever necessary, this Committee shall seek the assistance of external training resources such as the Federal Human Resources Development Canada and Provincial Ministry of Labour, or other recognized training institutions.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Safety Training Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute Section 292.675, Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Contractors and subcontractors in violation of this provision will forfeit to the public body $2,500 plus $100 a day for each employee who is employed without training. Public bodies and contractors may withhold/assess these penalties from the payment due to those contractors and subcontractors if found to be in non-compliance.

  • Staff Training VENDOR shall ensure that all staff providing direct Services receive continuing education and training as needed or required and that such education and training is documented.

  • Funding for Training (a) In furtherance of the objectives of clause 33 hereof, and as a further initiative to enhance the employment and career opportunities of the Employees, the Parties to this Agreement will continue to facilitate on- going training to improve OHS in the industry and to improve Employees’ work skills so as to advance progression to higher industry skill levels. (b) To support the cost of these training initiatives the Employer will make a payment per Employee per week as per the table below. Such monies will be paid into Incolink to support Incolink’s continued training funding initiatives. 1 July 2024 $12.50 1 October 2025 $13.50 1 October 2026 $16.00 1 October 2027 $18.50 Provided that the Incolink arrangements are appropriately ordered so as to provide for: (i) joint employer/Union management of the training funding; (ii) access to funding in accordance with agreed guidelines, by all participating employers and unions. (c) In the event of Incolink being unable to provide the above arrangements, the Parties to this Agreement agree to establish an alternative mechanism with the intention of meeting the commitments expressed in clause 25.11(b) above. (d) The liability of the Employer to pay for the cost of training courses they approve in accordance with clauses 15.8 and 33, will be met by the making of the contributions on behalf of each Employee as required by this clause.
