Funding for Training. (a) In furtherance of the objectives of clause 31 hereof, and as a further initiative to enhance the employment and career opportunities of the Employees, the Parties will continue to facilitate on-going training to improve occupational health & safety in the industry and to improve employees work skills so as to advance progression to higher industry skill levels.

Funding for Training. In furtherance of the objectives of this clause 9, and as a further initiative to enhance the employment and career opportunities of the employees covered by this Agreement, the parties will continue to facilitate on-going training to improve occupational health and safety in the industry and to improve employees’ work skills so as to advance progression to higher industry skill levels. To support the cost of these training initiatives, the Employer will introduce from 1 September 2007 a payment of $5.00 per employee (excluding apprentices) per week, such monies to be paid into Protect who will act as the collection agent for these training funds. Should Fringe Benefits Tax be payable on training fund contributions, the parties will urgently review the application of this clause to ensure that the Employer or employees are not disadvantaged. The training funds will be subject to: • Joint and equal management by the ETU and the National Electrical and Communications Association; • Access to funding in accordance with agreed guidelines, by all participating employers and the ETU. In the event of Protect being unable to provide the above facility, the parties agree to establish an alternative mechanism with the intention of meeting the commitments expressed herein. The liability of the Employer to pay for the actual price of the training courses it approves in accordance with clause 9.1, shall be met by the making of contributions on behalf of each employee as required under this clause.

To support the cost of these training initiatives the Company will introduce from 1 January 2006 a payment of $4.50 per employee per week, such monies to be paid into Incolink to support that body’s continued training funding initiatives. Provided that the Incolink arrangements be appropriately ordered so as to provide for: • Joint employer/union management of the training funding; • Access to funding in accordance with agreed guidelines, by all participating employers and unions. In the event of Incolink being unable to provide the above facility, the parties agree to establish an alternative mechanism with the intention of meeting the commitments expressed herein. The liability of the Company to pay for the cost of training courses they approve in accordance with clause 43(g), shall be met by the making of the contributions on behalf of each employee as required by this clause. Part IX – General Employment Arrangements
Funding for Training. The dollar amount equivalent of a one (l.0%) percent increase based on general base wages effective July l, l983 shall be set aside for training purposes. This fixed amount of dollars shall be allocated each year thereafter unless changed through the collective bargaining process.

In the event of Protect being unable to provide the above facility, the parties agree to assess the progress of the facility six months prior to the nominal expiry date of this agreement. Where either party deems progress to be inadequate each reserves the right to establish an alternative mechanism or provide 3 months written notice to terminate the payment of the levy to take effect on 1 November 2010.

Funding for Training. At the beginning of each fiscal year or when the Agency has been provided its final budget for that fiscal year, whichever is later, the Agency shall notify the Union President regarding the amount of funds it plans to make available for training that fiscal year. After notifying the Union President and receiving any comments from the Union, the Agency shall make its final determination regarding the amount of training funds and shall notify the Union President. The Agency shall notify the Union of any changes in the amount of training funds.

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.

  • Mandatory Training The Department reserves the right to require the Charter School to attend any training related to the responsibilities of a Charter School.

  • Required Training For training that is required by the Agency, manager or supervisor, the Agency shall reimburse one hundred percent (100%) of all related necessary and legitimate expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, travel expenses, travel time, and attendance time. When practical, the Agency will attempt to adjust the employee’s hours if the approved training activity is scheduled during the employee’s normal work hours.
