METER READER. The following conditions apply to the classification of Meter Reader: (1) The normal hours of work for a Meter Reader shall be 8:00AM to 8:00PM Monday through Friday with an average of forty (40) hours per week. Employees required to work after 4:00PM will receive a Shift Differential. (2) Work associated with meter reading may be allotted to Meter Readers to fill in any time during which Meter Reading is not required. (3) In accordance with Article 10.13 of the Collective Agreement, the Company and individual Meter Readers may agree to a mutually acceptable modification of the above hours of work.

Under the direction of the Engineering Supervisor, the draftsperson is responsible for preparing proper scale drawings, filing, and other duties as assigned. Graduation from a recognized Drafting Program. Ability to cope with varied assignments, working conditions and supervisors.
METER READER. An employee who is engaged in reading water and electric meters, calculating consumptions and recording the readings. May be required to handle customer complaints and inspect meters for abnormal readings. Shall be required to operate a vehicle and to meet the public.   • Moonlighting Employee will focus his/her professional time, ability, and attention on City business during the term of this Agreement. To the extent consistent with applicable law, Employee shall not engage in any other business duties or pursuits whatsoever or, directly or indirectly, render any services of a business, commercial, or professional nature to any other person or organization, whether for compensation or otherwise, without the prior consent of the City Manager, except that: (1) The expenditure of reasonable amounts of time not in conflict with the City's needs and interests, for educational, charitable, community, and professional activities, shall not be deemed a breach of this Agreement and shall not require prior consent. (2) This Agreement shall not be interpreted to prohibit Employee from making passive personal investments or conducting private business affairs if those activities do not materially interfere with the services required under this Agreement or create conflicts of interest.
