The sector vessels will be transmitting HAILS (Trip 2 Start and Trip End) electronically via the email messaging component of their VMS units. 3 All data necessary to the requirements will be sent in compressed formats to minimize 4 characters and maximize message capacity directly to the Sector’s Server which will 5 collect, store, convert and relay all data elements necessary to meet various requirements.
