During the Implementation Period, the Concessionaire shall furnish to the Project Steering Committee monthly reports on actual progress of the Construction Works and furnish any other relevant information as may reasonably be required by the Project Steering Committee. Thereupon, the Concessionaire shall within 15 (fifteen) days thereof notify the Project Steering Committee about the steps it proposes to take to expedite progress and the period within which it shall achieve COD. The Project Steering Committee may, by written notice, require the Concessionaire to suspend forthwith the whole or any part of the Construction Works if in the reasonable opinion of the Project Steering Committee such work is being carried on in a manner which threatens the safety of the Construction Works or the users of the Project or does not adhere to Specifications and Standards. Monitoring and Supervision during Implementation. (a) The Concessionaire shall submit to the Officer-in-Charge, a programme supported with Bar Chart for implementation of activities in a phased manner so as to cause least inconvenience to the public. (f) The Concessionaire shall, pursuant to the notice pursuant to sub-article (d) above, suspend the Construction Works or any part thereof for such time and in such manner as may be specified by the Steering Group and thereupon carry out remedial measures to secure the safety of suspended works and affected persons or properties. The Concessionaire may by notice require the Independent Engineer to inspect such remedial measures forthwith and make a report to the Steering Group recommending whether or not the suspension hereunder may be revoked. Upon receiving the recommendations of the Independent Engineer, the Steering Group shall either revoke such suspension or instruct the Concessionaire to carry out such other and further remedial measures as may be necessary in the reasonable opinion of the Steering Group, and the procedure set forth in sub-article (d) above shall be repeated until the suspension hereunder is revoked.
(g) If suspension of Construction Works is for reasons not attributable to the Concessionaire, the Independent Engineer shall determine any extension of the dates set forth in the Project Completion Schedule to which the Concessionaire is reasonably entitled, and shall notify BRBNaccordingly whereupon the BRBNshall extend such Project Completion Schedule dates in accordance with the recommendations of the Independent Engineer. In the event that the Scheduled Completion Date is extended pursuant hereto, the Concession Period shall be deemed to be extended by a period equal in length to the period of extension of the Scheduled Completion Date.
(h) If the Project Steering Committee Group issues any instructions requiring suspension of Construction Works for any reason other than default or breach of this Agreement by the Concessionaire:;
(i) the Project Completion Schedule and the Scheduled Project Completion Date shall be extended by the period of suspension; , and
(ii) the Concession Period shall be extended in accordance with the recommendations of the Independent Engineer pursuant to the Agreementand in accordance with sub-article (g) above.
