Motorcycle Pay. 227. Employees below the rank of captain assigned to Motorcycle and Honda units shall continue to receive a premium in an amount in accord with current practice pursuant to Charter Section A8.405(b). It is the parties’ understanding that this benefit is part of the salary attached to all ranks for employees below the rank of captain assigned to Motorcycle and Honda units covered by this Agreement and shall be included for purposes of retirement benefit calculations or contributions.
Motorcycle Pay. Every employee who is required to operate a motorcycle in the performance of the employee's duties shall be paid in addition to the employee's regular rate of pay, the sum of $1.00 for each day that the employee operates such motorcycle.
Motorcycle Pay. 11/5/1 State Patrol Troopers required to operate motorcycles in the performance of their assigned duties shall receive the additional pay of twenty five dollars ($25.00) per month when required to operate motorcycles.

Motorcycle Pay. 12 1. Motorcycle traffic patrol duty shall also include the time spent performing the duties and 13 responsibilities associated with winter storage of the officer's assigned motorcycle. Such 14 duties shall be prescribed by the Chief of Police, who may, from time to time, change them. 15 The duties shall include, but not be limited to, frequent visual inspection, periodic 16 recharging of the motorcycle's battery, performing the prescribed shut down procedure at 17 the beginning of winter storage and a startup procedure at the end of winter storage and 18 washing and waxing the motorcycle. The duration of time spent by an employee in the 19 performance of winter storage duties shall not exceed 1½ hours per month; no employee 20 shall devote more time to such duties without obtaining prior authorization from the 21 employee's commanding officer.
22 2. A motorcycle shall be stored only in a private storage area approved by the Chief. The 23 period of winter storage shall be determined by the Chief of Police.
24 3. For the duration of the winter storage period, an officer who maintains his/her assigned 25 motorcycle in an approved private storage area shall receive $20.00 biweekly in addition to 26 base salary in lieu of any other compensation for the duties (and the expected amount of 27 time devoted to those duties) described in sections 1 and 2, above.
1 4. Except as modified by sections 1 through 3, all heretofore existing administrative 2 procedures associated with the $20.00 biweekly payments received by employees assigned 3 to motorcycle traffic patrol duty shall remain unchanged.
4 5. Winter storage of City motorcycles and compensation therefore, as set forth in sections 1 5 through 4, may be terminated at any time at the sole discretion of the Chief of Police. 6 ARTICLE 14
Motorcycle Pay. A. Employees assigned to motorcycle duty, will receive a stipend of 5% above base pay.
B. In addition to the compensation set forth above, an employee assigned to Motorcycle Duty shall receive compensated time of four (4) hours per pay period for motorcycle cleaning and maintenance. The City and the Association agree that four (4) hours per pay period represents a reasonable estimate of the time spent by the employee maintaining and cleaning the motorcycle. Employees assigned full-time to motorcycle duty shall receive four (4) hours of straight compensatory time each pay period. Employees shall not be eligible for such compensatory time if they are on an extended illness or other leave of absence and not actually performing any cleaning or maintenance. Employees may be scheduled to take eight (8) hours off each month at a time mutually agreed upon between the supervisor and the employee. It is not the intent of this provision to allow employees to accumulate the four (4) hours each pay period without taking time off each month.
C. Eligible department employees may be assigned in a uniformed motorcycle officer capacity operating out of the Ontario Xxxxx Station on a part time basis, not to exceed 25 hours per week. For the duration of the assignment, employees in these assignments:
1. Shall receive Motorcycle Pay at the rate of 5% above base pay.
2. Shall participate in training as needed or required by the Traffic Division.
3. Shall work hours set, monitored, and/or adjusted by Ontario Xxxxx Station Supervision.
4. Shall be responsible for monthly maintenance of the assigned motorcycle. This maintenance shall be performed while on duty if scheduling permits. If the employee cannot perform the maintenance while on duty, the employee, with the approval of the supervisor, may perform the maintenance off duty and be compensated at the rate of two (2) hours of straight compensatory time per pay period. The City and the Association agree that two (2) hours per pay period represents a reasonable estimate of the time spent by the employee maintaining and cleaning the motorcycle for a part-time assignment.
5. Shall house the assigned motorcycle at the designated station.
6. Shall not take the motorcycle home.
7. Shall not use the motorcycle for any other purpose outside the assigned duties unless pre- authorized in writing by the appropriate supervisor in suitable situations. This assignment may be eliminated at any time without cause by the Police Chief or his/her...
Motorcycle Pay. Sworn officers covered by this MOU who are assigned to motorcycle patrol will receive 5% above their normal salary.
