ROCK GRADATION TYPES Purchaser shall manufacture rock in accordance with the types and amounts listed in the ROCK LIST. Work in a Higher Classification Any employee who is assigned by his/her supervisor to a vacant position in a higher grade for a period of more than thirty (30) days shall receive the salary rate for the higher position from the first day of the appointment, provided such assignment has the prior approval in writing of the Appointing Authority or his/her designee. The approval of the Appointing Authority or his/her designee shall take effect as of the first day of the assignment. Any assignment to a vacant position in a higher grade must be in writing to be valid.
Reallocation to a Class with a Lower Salary Range Maximum 1. If the employee meets the skills and abilities requirements of the position and chooses to remain in the reallocated position, the employee retains existing appointment status and has the right to be placed on the Employer’s internal layoff list for the classification occupied prior to the reallocation.
