Multi-Unit Layoff/Unit Merger. A multi-unit layoff occurs when there is a layoff as a result of the merger of two or more units and/or division of one or more units into new units. In the event of a work unit closure, employees of the work unit will exercise their layoff options provided in Article 13.3 in order of seniority.
