The illness must be evidenced by typical clinical symptoms of demyelination and impairment of motor and sensory functions, as well as by MRI results. In order to confirm the diagnosis, the Insured/Insured Person must display neurological anomalies that have endured for an ongoing period of at least six (6) months, or must have had at least two (2) clinically documented episodes with an interval of at least one (1) month in between, or at least one clinically documented episode together with characteristic findings in the cerebrospinal fluid, as well as specific brain injuries detected by the MRI.
