Common use of Municipal and Employee Contributions Clause in Contracts

Municipal and Employee Contributions. Effective the first full pay period following Assembly approval of this Agreement, the MOA will provide a contribution of two thousand one hundred ninety five dollars ($2195.00)per month for each eligible employee who elects MOA Health Benefit Plan coverage. Each eligible employee shall pay, by payroll deduction, any difference between the employer contribution and the total premium required for the health plan option selected by the employee. Payroll deductions, if applicable, will be made on a pre-tax basis, subject to applicable law and regulations. All contributions by the MOA or the employee may only be applied to the MOA Health Benefit Plan. Any amounts remaining from the employer contribution for a higher deductible health plan shall be placed in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) for the employees to use for qualified medical expenses.
