Common use of Municipal and School Board Offices Clause in Contracts

Municipal and School Board Offices. (1) Employees may seek election to municipal and school board offices, provided that: (i) the duties of the municipal or school board office other than regular council or board meetings do not impinge on normal working hours as a Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC employee; (ii) there is no conflict of interest between the duties of the municipal or school board office and the duties of the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC position. (2) Where the municipal council, the school board or committees of the council or board hold meetings during the employee's normal working hours, the Employer shall grant leave without pay to attend such meetings. (3) Where leave without pay is granted to attend committee meetings, such leave shall be in accordance with Clause 20.10, and provided that such leave shall not exceed one-half shift per week. (4) The employee shall provide at least one week's written notice to the Employer.

(2) Where the municipal councilMunicipal Council, the school board School Board or committees of the council Council or board Board hold meetings during the employee's normal working hours, the Employer Business Practices & Consumer Protection Authority shall grant leave without pay to attend such meetings. (3) Where leave without pay is granted to attend committee meetings, such leave shall be in accordance with Clause 20.10, and provided that such leave shall not exceed one-half (½) shift per week. (4) The employee shall provide at least one (1) week's written notice to the EmployerBusiness Practices & Consumer Protection Authority.

(2) Where the municipal councilMunicipal Council, the school board School Board or committees Committees of the council Council or board Board hold meetings during the employee's normal working hours, the Employer shall grant leave without pay to attend such meetings. (3) Where leave without pay is granted to attend committee Committee meetings, such leave shall be in accordance with Clause 20.10Article 21.10, and provided that such leave shall not exceed one-half shift per week. (4) The employee shall provide at least one week's written notice to the Employer.

(2) Where the municipal council, the school board or committees of the council or board hold meetings during the employee's ’s normal working hours, the Employer shall grant leave without pay to attend such meetings. (3) Where leave without pay is granted to attend committee meetings, such leave shall be in accordance with Clause 20.10, Article 18 and provided that such leave shall not exceed one-half (½) shift per week. (4) The employee shall provide at least one (1) week's ’s written notice to the Employer.

(3) Where leave without pay is granted to attend committee meetings, such leave shall be in accordance with Clause 20.1020.11, and provided that such leave shall not exceed one-half shift per week. (4) The employee shall provide at least one week's written notice to the Employer.
