MVP as Secondary Plan. In the event that MVP is considered to be the secondary payor, you are required to follow the rules and procedures of the primary plan before MVP will make payment. If MVP is to make payment on a secondary basis, the rules and procedures of MVP as otherwise stated in this Contract must also be followed. When MVP is the Secondary Plan, benefits under this Contract will be reduced so that the total benefits payable under the Primary Plan and MVP do not exceed your expenses for an item of service. However, we will not pay more than we would have paid if MVP was the Primary Plan. We count as actually paid by the Primary Plan any items of expense that would have been paid if you had made the proper claim.
