Common use of National Board Certificate Clause in Contracts

National Board Certificate. 1. The Board shall pay a stipend to each teacher who acquires a National Board Certificate equal to $1,500 per year for each year the teacher maintains such certification. At the end of the certification period, the teacher must recertify in order to continue to be eligible for the stipend. Teachers who are new hires to the District will be paid $1,500 per year for the remaining years on his or her certificate. Subject to the receipt of funding from the State Board of Education, the District shall reimburse a teacher who acquires National Board Certification for the teacher’s out-of-pocket application fees up to a maximum reimbursement of $2,500.
