Common use of National Guards and Reserves Clause in Contracts

National Guards and Reserves. Leaves of absence shall be granted, without pay and without loss of seniority to regular employees who are active in the National Guards or a branch of the Armed Forces Reserves of the United States for the purpose of fulfilling their annual field training obligations and when called out due to temporary civil disturbances. An employee must submit a copy of his/her orders to the Employer as soon as possible after the employee receives them. Employees required to attend field training of not to exceed fifteen (15) days/year shall be paid the difference between the pay they receive from the National Guard and Reserves and their regular rate of pay.
