Common use of Newborns and Adopted Newborns Clause in Contracts

Newborns and Adopted Newborns. The Effective Date of coverage for a natural newborn child properly enrolled will be the moment of birth. For an adopted newborn properly enrolled, coverage will be effective from the moment of birth provided a written agreement to adopt such child was entered into by the Subscriber prior to the birth of the child. However, coverage will not be required if the child is not ultimately placed in the Subscriber's home in compliance with Chapter 63, Florida Statutes.
