NO SUPPLANTATION Sample Clauses

The No Supplantation clause ensures that funds or resources provided under an agreement are used to supplement, rather than replace, existing funding or resources. In practice, this means that a recipient cannot use the new funds to cover costs that were already budgeted or paid for by other sources; for example, a grant recipient must use the grant to expand services, not to offset their current operating expenses. This clause is designed to prevent the misuse of funds and to ensure that the intended purpose of additional support is achieved, rather than simply relieving the recipient of their existing financial obligations.
