Non-FMLA Personal Illness/Disability Leave. Employees who have exhausted their FMLA leave or who have a non-FMLA qualifying personal illness, medical disability or family care issue may apply to the appropriate administrator for an unpaid leave of absence for a period of up to one (1) year. Such requests are subject to Board approval on a case-by- case basis and approval of such requests is not guaranteed. If the initial leave request is granted, the employee may request an extension of up to one (1) year, but extensions are not guaranteed.
