Common use of Non-Instructional Days Clause in Contracts

Non-Instructional Days. 1. All the available non-instructional days as prescribed in the School Calendar shall be used for teacher professional development activities (except for Non-Instructional Days Article F.23.2.e). 2. The Board shall grant non-instructional days with pay providing the following criteria has been met: a. not to exceed the number of non-instructional days prescribed in the School Calendar. b. the school Professional Development Committee or the district Professional Development Committee has submitted a plan to the Board. c. non-instructional days shall be designated geographic area or district-wide. d. if a submission from a school is outside the area of Professional Development, the plan must be approved by the Board. e. a minimum of two (2) of the non-instructional days may be designated District Pro-D Days and one of the remaining days, on recommendation of the school Pro- D Committee and with the permission of the Board, may be designated an administrative day.
