PRESCHOOL TEACHERS. This Article applies to preschool teachers who work in a District preschool program and have an Early Childhood Development Permit and/or Teaching Credential. Preschool teachers are required to meet allcounty, state, and federal requirements. All aspects of the collective bargaining agreement of MHUSD and MHFT apply to preschool teachers, including but not limited to, rights, retirement options, layoffs, shared contracts, health and welfare benefits, payroll deductions, mileage, leaves, transfers, evaluation procedures, personnel files, grievance procedures, professional accountability, etc. The following contract language delineates further contractual obligations specific to preschool teachers. This article does not apply to Special Education preschool teachers.

PRESCHOOL TEACHERS. Unit members serving as Preschool teachers shall be compensated based on the Pre- School Teacher Salary schedule in Appendix A of this agreement. A. Placement on the Salary Schedule 1. Step Placement: Unit members beginning the first year of teaching with the Office of Education shall have their experience evaluated by Human Resources to determine proper step placement. One step for each year of full-time related experience as determined by the SDCOE to a maximum of seven (7) steps will be granted. 2. Class Placement: Class placement shall be determined as follows:  Class I: 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development  Class II: AA degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development  Class III: AA degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development + 30 additional semester units earned after receipt of the AA  Class IV: BA degree (including 24 Early Childhood Education/Child Development units)  Class V: BA degree (including 24 Early Childhood Education/Child Development units) + 15 additional semester units earned after receipt of the XX X. Advancements on the Salary Schedule 1. Unit members must have rendered paid service for 75% or more of the number of days (184) in the regular school year to be eligible to advance one vertical step on the schedule. Eligibility for step advancement will be determined as of June 30 of each year for the following school year. 2. Unit members shall be limited to a one-step advancement from one school year to the next. 3. Advancement on the salary schedule based on earned college credits or degrees will be permitted on a quarterly basis. That is, salary schedule advancement will be effective the July 1, October 1, January 1 or April 1 following submission of the required supporting documentation. 4. A stipend based upon 4.0% of Class IV, Step 13, shall be paid unit members after 15, 18, 21, and 24 years of service for those on Class III, IV, and V provided that the most recent performance evaluation rating received by the unit member was "standard" or better. To qualify for any new long term valued service stipend, the unit member must have received a standard or better rating in that unit member's most recent evaluation (i.e., no unit member will lose a stipend which he/she has already been receiving).
PRESCHOOL TEACHERS. A. The following sections (including subsections relating thereto) shall not apply to Preschool Teachers: Article 6 (Hours of Employment), Sections 1.A, 2.A, 2.B, 2.C, 2.M. 2.N, 2.O, Article 8 (Leaves), Sections 8.8, 8.9; Article 10 (Class size) Sections 2, 3, 4, 5; Article 11 (Evaluation Procedures), Section 11.3; Article 13 (Part-time Employment), Section 13.3; Article 15 (Salary), Sections 1.A, 1.B, 3.C.1, 3.C.3, 3.C.4, 6.A, 6.B, 6.C; Article 19 (Special Education) Section 1A; Article 20 (PAR); and Article 22 (Summer School). B. The following provisions apply only to Preschool teachers:
PRESCHOOL TEACHERS. The terms and conditions outlined in Article 3 Preschool Teachers Special Provisions, of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, shall remain in full effect. All terms and conditions expressed in this MOU shall be applicable to preschool teachers excluding those referencing provisions of the CBA which do not regularly apply to preschool teachers.
PRESCHOOL TEACHERS. Preschool teachers shall be evaluated using parent feedback forms, colleague and supervisor feedback, and classroom evaluations using the designated forms in the appendix.

  • Teachers Xxxxxx Xxxxxx (lead), Xxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx Board: Xxx Xxxxxxxx (lead), Xxxx Xxxxxxxxx, and Xxxx Xxxxx Supt: Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxx and Xxx Xxxxxxxxx

  • Student Teachers A. The term "student teacher" as used hereinafter shall refer to student teachers, intern teachers and all other such programs. Agreement to become a supervising teacher of a student teacher shall be strictly voluntary and is recognized not to result in such bargaining unit members becoming supervisors within the meaning of the Public Employment Relations Act (PERA). Probationary teachers are prohibited from accepting student teachers. B. It is expressly agreed that the Association may refuse to permit a bargaining unit member from supervising or directing the activities of a student teacher in the event: 1. The student teacher would displace instructional aides, para- professionals, or other current employees then employed. 2. The use of such student teacher would be used by the Employer as a basis for not hiring additional bargaining unit personnel. C. The Board shall disclose all terms of any agreement between it and any student placing institution. The terms and conditions of placement of student teachers shall be consistent with this agreement, unless otherwise agreed to by the Association. D. The supervising teacher shall have the right to accept an honorarium or other such token of appreciation as may be offered by the student/intern placing institution. E. Prior to acceptance of a student teacher, there shall be a meeting between the teacher, prospective student teacher, principal, president of the Association or an executive committee member of the Association. Following this interview, the teacher shall then have the right to accept or reject the student teacher. F. Any terms or conditions of this section not previously specified in this agreement shall be negotiated between the Board and the Association prior to implementation of future programs.

  • New Teachers No new teachers shall be hired for a vacancy for which a teacher on unrequested leave is certified.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Schools The Project must apply for concurrency review at Lake County Public Schools. The school district has a specific application process. The Project must be shown to have appropriate school concurrency before building permits are issued.

  • Itinerant Teachers Schedules of regularly assigned teachers who are assigned to and travel to more than one school or student home on a given day shall be arranged so that no teacher shall be required without his/her consent to engage in inter-school or inter-home (for home bound teachers) travel of more than thirty-five

  • School Any public elementary or secondary school including a charter school, universal pre- kindergarten program authorized pursuant to Education Law § 3602-e, an approved provider of preschool special education, any other publicly funded pre-kindergarten program, a school serving children in a special act school district as defined in Education Law § 4001, an approved private school for the education of students with disabilities, a State-supported school subject to the provisions of Article 85 of the Education Law, or a State-operated school subject to the provisions of Articles 87 or 88 of the Education Law.

  • Volunteer Peer Assistants 1. Up to eight (8)

  • Traveling Teachers Traveling teachers are those who are not assigned a dedicated classroom of their own due to limited space. If traveling is necessary within a subject area, traveling status should be rotated. In order to facilitate optimum conditions for instruction, traveling teachers should, to the greatest extent practicable, be provided the following: 1. A quiet, secure space that contains a desk and filing space; 2. Storage space within the classrooms used for instruction; 3. A designated bulletin board and/or chalk or white board in the classrooms used for instruction; 4. An appropriate cart to transfer materials; 5. Supplies needed for instruction to the same extent as other teachers and those unique to traveling teachers.

  • Wellness i. To support the statewide goal for a healthy and productive workforce, employees are encouraged to participate in a Well-Being Assessment survey. Employees will be granted work time and may use a state computer to complete the survey. ii. The Coalition of Unions agrees to partner with the Employer to educate their members on the wellness program and encourage participation. Eligible, enrolled subscribers who register for the Smart Health Program and complete the Well-Being Assessment will be eligible to receive a twenty-five dollar ($25) gift certificate. In addition, eligible, enrolled subscribers shall have the option to earn an annual one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) or more wellness incentive in the form of reduction in deductible or deposit into the Health Savings Account upon successful completion of required Smart Health Program activities. During the term of this Agreement, the Steering Committee created by Executive Order 13-06 shall make recommendations to the PEBB regarding changes to the wellness incentive or the elements of the Smart Health Program.
