Common use of Notice of Temporary Change in Work Schedule Clause in Contracts

Notice of Temporary Change in Work Schedule. The Employer will provide an employee with twenty-four (24) hours’ notice of a temporary change in his or her work schedule. If the Employer is unable to provide twenty-four (24) hours’ notice of the temporary change, the Employer will pay the employee a shift change penalty at the appropriate overtime rate for hours worked that are outside the hours he or she would have worked prior to the change. This provision does not apply to the change in a part time employee’s work schedule for weeks in which a statutory holiday occurs.
