Common use of Notification of Teacher's Intent Clause in Contracts

Notification of Teacher's Intent. Notification will be given to the Board of Education, through the Superintendent of Schools, by April 1 of the teacher's intention for the forthcoming school year in order to reduce RIFs and to aid in planning for staff. This will apply to all teachers who have been granted a leave by the Board of Education and to retiring teachers. A statement of this condition will be given to the teacher who is granted a leave.
