Common use of Notification Period Clause in Contracts

Notification Period. 1) Employees receiving notice of potential layoff off/displacement under Section 1. A. will receive a notification period of thirty (30) days. Employees receiving notice of potential layoff off/displacement under Section 1.B. will receive a notification period of sixty (60) days. 2) During the notification period, employees will have preferential consideration for vacancies according to Section 3, Placement During Notification Period. 3) If at any time during this notification period, a sufficient number of employees have been placed to eliminate the need for further displacement, the notification period may be canceled by the Employer.
