Notification to District. Except in case of a military emergency, unit members shall notify the District, at least twenty (20) work days prior to the start of the leave, of the unit member’s intent to take such leave. Further, except in the case of a military emergency, unit members shall submit to the District, at least ten (10) work days prior to the start of the leave, a copy of military orders authorizing such leave.
