OBJECTIVES OF THE AGREEMENT. The agreement is not conditional on the achievement of the below stated objectives but this in itself should not diminish the parties’ aims to achieve these objectives: • for the Employees to receive just rewards for their efforts, • to provide job security and satisfaction through meaningful employment, • to ensure that the lines of communication are kept constantly open, • to be secure in the knowledge that each person has a fundamental right to self respect, • to ensure that there will be no discrimination in any form in an establishment where workplace bullying and/or harassment are taboo. • to provide for wage increases over the period of the agreement • to help to bring about unity and maintain a harmonious relationship through the constant reminder that each one’s prosperity is an integral part of the other. • to reduce absenteeism and lost time through injury by the implementation of work practices that contribute towards a safer place in which to work • to remove all perceived barriers to improvement in performance issues such as quality, technology, product delivery and customer service, • to document the working arrangements in respect to wages and conditions which have been agreed to between the Employer and the Employees.
