Obligations of the Union and the Employer. The Union expressly agrees, as a condition of the recognition contained in this Article, not to discriminate with regard to the terms and conditions of membership in the Union on account of sex, age, color, creed or national origins; or to discriminate in representation of all of the employees within the unit, whether members of the Union or not; or to engage in a strike, slowdown, or other work stoppage, nor to instigate, encourage or condone the same. The Employer or any agent of the Employer shall not discriminate against or interfere with any member of the Union because of his/her membership in or lawful activity on behalf of the Union or any employee who holds any position in the Union. The Employer shall not lock-out the employees or condone the same, nor will the Employer discriminate on the basis of sex, age, color, creed or national origin.
