Occupational Health and Safety/Joint Health & Safety Committee. The Parties agree that a safe workplace, free of violence and harassment, is of utmost importance and agree to promote health and safety and wellness throughout the Home. The Employer shall provide orientation and training in health and safety to Employees on an ongoing basis, and Employees shall attend required training sessions. Accordingly, the parties fully endorse the responsibilities of the Employer, Employee and Union under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and regulations, as amended, made under the OHSA for health care and residential facilities.
