Common use of Officer in Charge Clause in Contracts

Officer in Charge. In the absence of the Chief or a Sergeant, an employee shall be assigned as the officer-in-charge of the shift and shall be required to comply with the duties directed by the Chief. The officer-in-charge shall be paid one (1) additional hour of pay at their regular overtime rate for each shift of four (4) hours or more spent as officer-in-charge.
