Official's Bond. The officers or persons designated to have charge of, handle, or have access to any funds or property of the SMC Express Lanes JPA will be so designated and empowered by the Board. Each such officer or person will be required to file an official bond with the SMC Express Lanes JPA in an amount established by the Board. Should the existing bond or bonds of any such officer or persons be extended to cover the obligations provided herein, said bond will be the official bond required herein. The premiums on any such bonds attributable to the coverage required herein will be appropriate expenses of the SMC Express Lanes JPA. If it is prudent to do so, the SMC Express Lanes JPA may procure a blanket bond on behalf of all such officers and persons.
