Common use of On-Call On a Holiday Clause in Contracts

On-Call On a Holiday. Subject to the provisions of paragraph 4 of this section, an employee of the BCA who is instructed, in writing, to remain in an on-call status on a paid holiday off shall be compensated for being on-call at the rate of fifteen (15) minutes pay at the employee’s current rate of pay for each one (1) hour of on-call status up to a maximum of six (6) hours of straight time pay. Compensation for on-call shall be in the form of compensatory time or cash, at the discretion of the Appointing Authority.
