Open Dates. Between March 1st and March 30th, the parties shall initiate negotiations for the purpose of entering into a successor agreement for the forthcoming year(s). Neither party in any negotiations shall have any control over the selection of the negotiating or bargaining representative of the other party. The parties mutually pledge that their representatives will be clothed with all necessary power and authority to make proposals, consider proposals, and make concessions in the course of negotiations. Both parties agree to submit the final agreement for ratification to their appropriate governing bodies on the same calendar date. After ratification by both parties, their representatives shall attach their signatures to the ratified agreement within ten (10) days. There shall be nine (9) signed copies: three (3) copies for the Board, three (3) for the Association, and three (3) for the superintendent.
