Common use of Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses Clause in Contracts

Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. During the unit orientation of newly hired 32 nurses, the Employer shall provide an Association representative with a 30- 33 minute period to discuss the Association. This period will be paid time for the 34 newly hired nurses, but will be on the Association representative’s own time. The 1 Employer will cooperate in releasing an Association representative, if a nurse, 2 from duty to attend such meeting, and the Association will cooperate to provide 3 an alternate representative where such release would cause staffing problems 4 for the Employer. The Employer may choose to have an Employer representative 5 attend such meeting as long as this does not cause undue delay in conducting
