Orthotic or Prosthetic. Appliances We cover Orthotic Appliances or Prosthetic Appliances if the Member’s Practitioner determines the appliance is medically necessary. The deductible, coinsurance or copayment as applicable to a non-specialist physician visit for treatment of an Illness or Injury will apply to the Orthotic Appliance or Prosthetic Appliance. The Orthotic Appliance or Prosthetic Appliance may be obtained from any licensed orthotist or prosthetist or any certified pedorthist in Our Network. Benefits for the appliances will be provided to the same extent as other Covered Services and Supplies under the Contract.

To achieve this objective, the Joint Health and Safety Committee may review and offer input into infection control programs and protocols including surveillance, outbreak control, isolation, precautions, worker education and training, and personal protective equipment. The Employer will provide training and ongoing education in communicable disease recognition, use of personal protective equipment, decontamination of equipment, and disposal of hazardous waste.
