Other relevant considerations. Any Member of the Bargaining Unit laid off pursuant to this policy shall have recall rights to any position for which s/he is certified and qualified, for a period of one calendar year from the effective date of such layoffs. Members of the Bargaining Unit laid off shall be recalled to available positions in reverse order of their layoff. Those on layoff shall be notified by registered mail and sent to the address on file with the Board in positions for which they are qualified and certified. It is the Member of the Bargaining Unit’s responsibility to maintain a current address with the Board of Education. Failure to respond to such notification within 10 days from the date of mailing shall result in the termination of the Member of the Bargaining Unit’s right to recall.
