Outlet Pipes Sample Clauses

Outlet Pipes. Provision of outlet pipelines from each AWRD compartment, through an outlet structure in the dam wall, leading to a specified point outside the AWRD must be installed. The Consultant is to provide the terminal points of the outlet pipelines. The outlet pipelines connection to the existing AWR pump house will be designed and installed by Others. Similar outlet pipes will also be required from the AWTD leading to the AWTD pump house (designed by Others). Each outlet pipeline from the AWRD and AWTD must be terminated with a closing valve and blanking off flange to allow the connection of these outlet pipelines to the AWR pipeline system and AWT pumping system. The details and coordinates of this terminal point shall be provided by the designer which shall be an interface point between the New Ash Dam Civil Engineering and the Auxiliary Engineering projects. The full details of the suction pipes will be provided when the detailed design for the Auxiliary Engineering Project is completed, but the following are envisaged:  The two (2) AWRD suction pipes, one (1) per compartment will not be smaller than 1200NB (to be confirmed by Employer). There must be a xxxx-mouth suction pipe ending installed on each pipe for each AWRD compartment.  The two (2) AWTD suction pipes, one for main compartment and one for abstraction from silt trap, will not be smaller than 900NB (to be confirmed by Employer). There must be a xxxx-mouth suction pipe ending installed on each pipe.  All bends in these pipes will be long radius bends to minimise friction losses.  The suction pipes must all be slightly sloped so that the higher point is on the outer side of the dam wall, from this high point the pipe must level off and terminate with an isolation valve.  The design includes detailed specifications, data sheets and drawings for the dam outlet pipework and valves. The suction pipes must have suitable corrosion protection.
