OUTLET PROTECTION. Place effectively sized outlet protection underneath pipeline outlet of where diverted water is discharged into a soft bottom channel. Rock aprons are the most common type of outlet protection for high flows; however, erosion control fabric, wattles, or silt fencing may be installed in front of an outlet to provide additional velocity reduction. • Energy dissipation or other protection may not be necessary if the discharge is to an existing hardened structure (culvert, riprap or concrete), to deep water or a heavily vegetated area.

The Employee does not need the prior authorization of the Company to make any such reports or disclosures and the Employee shall not be not required to notify the Company that such reports or disclosures have been made.
