Overload Compensation. ‌ An instructional faculty member may be given overload compensation for additional instructional responsibilities beyond the normal work day or work year. The conditions and compensation of all overload duties shall be established prior to the beginning of additional instructional work. Where performance of additional responsibilities is required by the Employer, the rate of compensation shall be paid on a pro-rated salary basis. When calculating the pro-rated hourly salary under this section, the academic year salary shall be divided by 1190 hours. When calculating the pro-rated full-time daily salary amount, the academic year salary shall be divided by 170. Where faculty members have the option of refusing additional work assignments, the rate of compensation will be agreed upon between the Employer and the faculty member.

Overload Compensation. A faculty member who is entitled to overload compensation as defined in Article XXIX of this Agreement shall be compensated for each three (3 credit) or equivalent contact hours of overload at the rate of $3150. Overload compensation shall be paid in equal installments starting on the last day of October, and continuing during each semi-monthly pay period in November, December, and January for the fall semester, and starting on the last day of February, and continuing during each semi-monthly pay period in March, April, and May for the spring semester. No overload shall be due or payable unless the faculty member teaches at least fifteen (15) credit/contact hours in a given semester.
Overload Compensation. When the overload is not relieved by one of the above methods, the teacher may select compensation in the form of overload pay, clerical or paraeducator support, release time, or a combination of any of the above. When a paraeducator is not available or is reassigned by an administrator, overload shall be paid to the teacher. Payment for overloads shall not be effective during the first eight (8) student attendance days of the school year and the first five (5) student attendance days of new second semester classes at the secondary level. Overload data will be submitted by the last work day of the month and, once verified by the district and PAE, will be compensated on a monthly basis. A “student hour” is defined as the unit of overload which results from carrying an overload of one (1) student for a period of one (1) hour or the product of the two factors: overload students and hours (for which the overload was carried). A “student day” is defined as the unit of overload which results from carrying an overload of one (1) student for a period of one (1) full teaching day or the product of the two factors: overload students and teaching days (for which the overload was carried). All music classes over thirty-two (32) students per section that are required to administer a state assessment at grades 5, 8, and 10 will be provided with paraeducator support or other types of support to administer the assessment.
Overload Compensation. All equated load hours in excess of fifteen (15), or clock hours in excess of 560, in each semester shall be compensated at the rate of the highest prevailing compensation paid per load hour to part-time faculty but no less than the previous academic year’s load hour rate during this Agreement.

Overload Compensation. Wages for overload during the regular academic semester, whether it be for short session two-week courses, workshops, or extended campus classes, shall be computed at the rate of two percent (2.0%) of the faculty member’s academic year salary per credit hour or the current adjunct pay rate, whichever is higher. If assigned more than twelve (12) instructional workload credit hours in a semester, any credit hour beyond twelve (12) instructional credit hours shall be considered an overload credit hour unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed upon by the faculty member and Xxxx in accordance with Section 5.2.1. Any credit hours beyond twenty-four (24) in an academic year will be considered an overload. Faculty members have the choice whether or not to accept overload assignments. Faculty will only be paid once for the same overload hours. The overload rate for graduate courses during the regular academic semester shall be computed at the rate of two and one-quarter percent (2.25%) of the faculty member’s academic year salary per credit hour. When a faculty member has an overload, the overload will be considered a graduate overload to the extent that the faculty member teaches graduate courses that particular semester. Dual-listed courses (courses that enroll both undergraduate and graduate students) are excluded from this rate. Overload compensation contracts will be issued as soon as possible. If travel is involved to perform assigned duties or teaching, the faculty member shall be provided compensation for travel time to and from the teaching assignment and expense reimbursement for mileage, meals and lodging per College guidelines. Faculty members granted sabbatical leave are not eligible for teaching assignments or for overload compensation during the sabbatical period.
