Overtime Compensation for Working Out of Class. (1) An hourly employee who works in a higher level job class in what is normally a salaried position shall remain an hourly employee for the duration of the higher level assignment; (2) A salaried employee who receives authorization to work out of class in an hourly position and who works the majority of his or her workday performing duties that are normally compensated at an hourly rate of pay shall be paid at one and one half (1 ½) times the employee’s hourly rate of pay for hours worked beyond his or her regularly scheduled shift hours on that day.
