OVERTIME TRAVELLING - EMERGENCY SERVICE CALLS. 12.03.01 Where an emergency call is received and the Mechanic has to leave town on short notice, Employers are obligated to pay double instead of single time rates under some circumstances. Generally, the following would apply for emergency call service, keeping in mind that double time rates must be paid for all daytime travelling on Sundays and Statutory Holidays under any condition.
