Common use of PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE Clause in Contracts

PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE. a) An Employee who engages in a voluntary emergency management activity is, in additions to the provisions of the FW Act, entitled to be absent without loss of pay from his or her employment on paid emergency services leave for a total of seven (7) days per annum commencing at the start of each calendar year. b) An employee’s entitlement to paid emergency services leave does not accumulate from year to year and is not paid out on termination. c) Where an Employee has accessed either Natural disaster leave or Pandemic related isolation leave in the calendar year, then the entitlement to seven (7) paid days off in the calendar year, will be reduced by the number of paid days the employee has taken off for Natural Disaster leave or Pandemic related isolation leave in the calendar year.
