Emergency Leave. Notwithstanding any provisions for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant leave of absence with or without pay to an employee in emergency or unusual circumstances.
Emergency Leave. The Commissioner of Minnesota Management & Budget, after consultation with the Commissioner of Public Safety, may excuse State employees from duty with full pay in the event of a natural or man made emergency, if continued operation would involve a threat to the health or safety of individuals. Absence with pay shall not exceed sixteen (16) working hours at any one time unless the Commissioner of Minnesota Management & Budget authorizes a longer duration.
Emergency Leave. Non-probationary employees may take an automatic emergency leave of absence not to exceed two (2) weeks in the event of certified, serious illness or injury of the employee, or serious illness, injury or death in the employee’s immediate family without prior notice; provided that the employee makes every reasonable effort to notify the Employer within twenty-four (24) hours of the commencement of said leave. Said two (2) weeks automatic emergency leave of absence shall be a part of the time limits set forth in Paragraph 2 below.
Emergency Leave. Accrued and available sick leave will be allowed for necessary attendance to the illness of a member of the employee's immediate family until other attendance can be reasonable obtained, to attend a funeral in the immediate family, to receive medical, dental or eye examinations, or for other disability related emergencies. Absence in excess of one shift without receipt of proper notification by the Employer from the employee shall constitute just cause for immediate discharge, unless the failure to give such notification was due to circumstances beyond the control of the employee.
Emergency Leave. In the event of a bona fide emergency not covered elsewhere in the agreement, an employee shall be granted leave paid at full salary of up to two thirty-fifths of their Appointment Contract(s).
Emergency Leave. To assist an employee in taking care of crisis circumstances or conditions which cannot normally be handled while working full time.

Emergency Leave. One (1) day or a portion thereof per Agreement year without loss of pay may be taken off subject to approval of the employee's Supervisor and/or Department Head when it is necessary that the employee be immediately off work to attend to one of the following situations, either of which necessitates immediate action on the part of the employee:
A. The employee's spouse, domestic partner, child, parents, or grandparents has unexpectedly become seriously ill or has had a serious accident; or
B. An unforeseen occurrence with respect to the employee's household (e.g., fire, flood or ongoing loss of power). “Household” shall be defined as the physical aspects, including pets, of the employee's residence or vehicle; or
Emergency Leave. 23.9.1 An eligible employee is entitled to up to ten (10) days leave of absence without pay in accordance with the Emergency Leave provisions of the Employment Standards Act and Regulations, as amended.
Emergency Leave. 22 1. Emergency Leave may be used without prior supervisor approval, but 23 management reserves the right to require verification that the employee has experienced an 24 emergency situation.
25 2. Employees using Emergency Leave shall follow the reporting of leave 26 provisions found in Article 9.I.C. unless the onset of the emergency is within one (1) hour of the 27 employee’s scheduled reporting time, in which case the employee must call in as soon as 28 possible.
