Paid Time Off Definition. Employees who select the MBO shall be granted Paid Time Off (PTO) in lieu of any other Vacation or Sick accrual leave provisions. Additionally, employees in the classifications of Firefighter EMT, Firefighter Paramedic, Engineer, and Captain shall accrue holiday leave in accordance with this Article’s Section 4(b)(5).

  • Overtime Work Definition Overtime for non-exempt employees working any work schedule is actual time worked in excess of forty (40) hours per workweek.

  • Overtime Definition Overtime shall be defined as being all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day, or in excess of the normal or standard work week. The overtime rate shall be one and one-half (1½) times the regular straight time hourly rate of pay. NOTE: Article 16.04 is applicable to full-time employees only.

  • 020 Definitions The following definitions shall be applicable to this chapter:

For example, after five years of service, the annual PTO accrual rate shall increase to twenty-five (25) days. Unused PTO shall carry over to the next year, but Executive shall cease accruing further PTO at any time Executive has accrued two times his annual accrual rate. Unused PTO days which are not in excess of two-times the annual accrual rate shall be paid in a cash lump sum payment promptly after Executive’s termination of employment.
