Parent/Guardian Visitation (for teachers. An employee who is a parent or guardian of a child in school is entitled to a total of eight (8) hours of school visitation as defined in the Illinois Compiled Statutes each year to visit the school his or her child attends. No more than four (4) hours may be used in any one day and employees must have exhausted their accrued personal leave. Employees wishing to utilize this leave should refer to Board Policy language under “General Personnel-Leaves of Absence” for procedures on how to do so.
